ESAC and Egleston Main Street welcomed a City Year Boston crew to the Egleston Square Peace Garden at the corner of Washington and School Streets on Friday, June 2 for a day of planting and clean-up.  City Year members planted perennials donated by various local gardeners.  Several of the City Year participants have just completed a term of service at Jamaica Plain's Mendel School and the afterschool program at Dimock Community Health Center. City Year Boston member and Jamaica Plain resident Elden Marquez coordinated the day's effort.

Egleston Main Street will host Neighbors Night Out in the Peace Garden on third Thursday evenings this summer – featuring music, food and fun!  All are welcome and the first one is slated for June 15.

A celebration of Boston's 375th birthday was held on August 18, 2005 at the Egleston Square Peace Garden.
